Autumn is a picturesque season, and one that paints Tillsonburg beautifully!
Park Property Management loves autumn, and we want to share our favourite ways to explore the season throughout Tillsonburg.
The seasonal cool air is perfect for long walks along the many trails in the city. There's an old railway trail right behind our Lamers and Devonshire apartment buildings that runs from Quarter Town Line Road to Tillson Avenue. Residents can access the path directly from the back of the parking lot at 5 Lamers Court, or from Quarter Town Line Road, Broadway, and Tillson Avenue.
The newly extended Trans Canada Trail is 10.5km and stretches across Tillsonburg. Our residents will find the closest entrance at North Street just before Tillson Avenue. You can walk the entire trail or make stops along the way, as it connects with several parks. The first sight to see is the footbridge across Lake Lisgar, which is particularly beautiful this time of year. Memorial Park is located directly beside the lake and features a pavilion, benches, and some great photo opportunities.
The Trans Canada Trail continues through Kinsmen Participark, where you can stop for a picnic or enjoy the ravine, and then it comes to an end alongside the Bridges at Tillsonburg golf course at John Pound Road and Borden Crescent.
But walking is not the only way to enjoy autumn! Get into the swing of the season and enjoy the beautiful sights throughout the stunning Bridges at Tillsonburg golf course. This expansive golf course is the perfect place to combine exercise and fun while enjoying the beauty autumn brings.
The Annandale National Historic House is another great place to enjoy the season, and it's only five minutes from our apartment buildings. During this time of year, the grounds explode with rich velvety colours and are perfect for picnics! Inside, you can explore the house's three floors and visit the community museum. On October 28th, you can attend the Harvest Pie Social at the museum and enjoy pie and ice cream while celebrating the season.
In Tillsonburg, it's easy to immerse yourself in the gorgeous colours of autumn! If you're considering the move to this picturesque city, contact us to view our suites today.
