Have you ever been on a Halloween haunt?
If not, you're missing some fantastic Halloween fun not too far from home!
If you are looking for a dining experience that gives you chills (and not from the delicious food!), visit the Harry Ten Shilling Tea Room in Shakespeare, which is reportedly haunted by ghosts. Stop in for tea and see for yourself!
Downtown Burlington's Emma's Back Porch restaurant was originally the Estaminet Restaurant, a small restaurant of just four tables. The owner, Emma and her husband George lived in the attached house with their two children. Enjoy a fabulous dinner and hear of the hauntings believed to be caused by the ghosts of the establishment!
The Keg Mansion in Toronto, was once the home of the famous Massey family. This restaurant is reportedly haunted by the ghost of a maid who worked in the house, and it is rumoured she has been seen around the main stairs and in other parts of the mansion.
Public parks are often locations where there are rumours of ghostly sightings. In Oakville, the Lions Valley Park which is surrounded by 3 old cemeteries has reportedly been haunted since the erosion of the valley walls. Check it out for yourself, but be prepared for the unexpected!
Experience the hauntings of The Old Doon Mill Ruins in Kitchener. As you walk along the trail, you'll see the remains of the old mill at Schneider Creek. Spirits have been reported around the mill ruins and surrounding parkland and at the Kinzie Biehn Cemetery.
