At Park Property, our residents deserve a comfortable environment in which they can realize their dreams.  To ensure we consistently deliver this to residents, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Live Out) to join our team.

The Maintenance Technician will contribute and participate in activities related to preventative, scheduled or unscheduled maintenance as well as environmental, health and safety, and other special initiatives for our multi-residential properties.

What you will do:

•    Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
•    Respond to unscheduled maintenance work orders as assigned
•    Seek ways to exceed service expectations of residents
•    Ensure resident issues and service requests are addressed within 24 hours (minor repairs and maintenance tasks)
•    Accompany vendors and contractors while work is being completed and reporting progress to the management office team as required
•    Complete maintenance as required.  Some examples include, clogged sinks, lighting replacement and repair, toilets or flood clean up
•    Coordination of month-end duties and responsibilities, including pre-inspection & turnover of vacant suites
•    Ensure operations records, files and documentation are maintained accurately and timely and in accordance with established procedures
•    Uphold and report breaches of the rules and regulations of the property
•    Consistently maintain a safe and clean work environment in alignment with health and safety protocols.
•    Cleaning duties, as assigned, which may include litter pick-up, sweeping, snow shoveling and side-walk snow maintenance, pressure washing, or other duties as assigned by Senior Property Manager or designate 

Who you are:

•    Superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with team members, contractors, the public and residents
•    Able to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both oral and written
•    High degree of diplomacy, integrity, discretion and confidentiality
•    Completion of high school required.  Related College or University considered an asset 
•    Related hands-on experience with Multi-Residential Property Management with a strong service ethic commitment. 
•    Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS management practices
•    Basic understanding of all applicable laws, legislation, and rights concerning resident/landlord relations
•    Familiar with the emergency operation of electrical, elevator, boiler, fire panel and safety systems, mechanical systems, emergency generator, sprinkler and timer systems
•    Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
•    Available for on-call duties, evenings and weekends. Hours may be changed based on operational needs. Must be able to handle emergencies occurring after regular office hours
•    Possess a valid class G driver’s license in good standing
•    Eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check
